Alyssa Domenech
Alyssa Domenech is a social entrepreneur, community architect, and the founder of Jersey City Connects.
When she moved to Jersey City, Alyssa encountered the challenges of navigating a new city on her own and quickly realized she wasn’t alone. Recognizing a deep need for community, she channeled her passion for helping others into the creation of Jersey City Connects.
Through social meetups, networking events, and volunteer programming, Alyssa sought to establish a space where newcomers and locals alike could forge meaningful connections, support small businesses, and give back. Since launching, she has organized over 200 events, connected thousands of people, and partnered with local nonprofits on initiatives ranging from community clean-ups to youth board game nights.
While events are the cornerstone of Jersey City Connects, Alyssa and her team aspire to cultivate something far more profound: a movement for local connection, shared joy, and meaningful impact.
Her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others remains fueled by the memory of her father, whose legacy of positivity and kindness inspires her every day. She extends her thanks to the individuals, businesses and community partners who have stood alongside her, contributing to the growth and success of Jersey City Connects.
