Dreams to Reality: Helping a Non-Profit Find Its Footing

The Youth Sexpert Program, a semester-long virtual training for high school students ages 14–18, was created to provide radically honest sex education on topics such as anatomy, consent, and STI stigmatization. Moving beyond its beginnings as a social media initiative, the program sought to form small, focused support groups where students could learn and ask questions in a safe, judgment-free environment.

In 2024, the Youth Sexpert Program partnered with Jones Strategy and Consulting Group, LLC to overcome its two main challenges: funding and outreach. Together, they developed a three-month outreach strategy, crafted sponsorship templates, and designed a fundraising event that would bring the program closer to its goals.

As a result, the Youth Sexpert Program successfully launched a pilot group of 9 students, all of whom actively participated throughout the semester. The inaugural fundraising event generated over $5,000 in donations and supplies, ensuring the program had the resources to expand its impact. With these milestones, the Youth Sexpert Program proved its ability to empower youth with accurate sexual health education and set the foundation for future growth.
