On September 25, 2025, the National Policy Alliance (NPA) held its Annual Meeting and Conference in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss key policy issues impacting Black communities and introduce the organization's significant rebranding. Key leaders in attendance included Honorable Johnnie Ford, Commissioner Ywanda Buckles-Ndiaye, and Former NY State Senator Antoine Thompson, alongside community leaders like Rev. Zagery Oliver.
The conference centered on outlining the future of the NPA, which included the unveiling of the organization's five new pillars, a strategic plan for expansion into new neighborhoods, and the launch of a new website. The agenda included focused discussions on national issues, specifically Education (touching on goals for the National School Board Association) and Housing (highlighting the importance of increasing and maintaining Black homeownership). The event concluded with a strong call to action for attendees to support the newly defined vision of the National Policy Alliance.
